About the Job

The Pacific Whiting Conservation Cooperative is a trade association representing companies operating in the at-sea catcher-processor sector of the Pacific whiting fishery. PWCC was formed to promote rational harvest, optimal utilization, and minimal waste in the whiting fishery. The Pacific Whiting fishery is the largest and one of the most valuable fisheries on the West Coast.

PWCC is seeking an experienced professional to oversee and manage communications, strategy, and operations of PWCC. The Executive Director is the face of the organization representing some of the largest and most sophisticated fishing operations in the world. We are seeking an established leader to continue the effective and sustainable management of the at-sea whiting fishery while guiding the organization through emerging challenges such as wind energy development and changing environmental conditions. This position sits at the intersection of science, management and policy, offering a unique opportunity to engage in the research guiding management of the world’s largest whiting fishery.
